Where Do You Listen To Music Most Of The Time?

 I´m shocked with the results, none of you have an MP3 player, well me neither lol. Most of us prefer to listen to music on a computer, that´s what 12 people answered in this poll (85%). We have one old fashioned person who prefers to listen to music on the radio (12%), well I respect that decision, but I think radio isn´t so popular today as Internet. and another person listens to music most of the time in a different way, which we can guess is a mobile phone.

Pet Shop Boys´ "Paninaro" New 2011 Version

 A Russian singer named Mitya Fomin has made a new version of the Pet Shop Boys´ classic hit single "Paninaro". The real concept of this song is about an 80s youth Italian subculture known as the paninari, who used to wear  Armani clothe and they also used to congregate at fast food restaurants. A very interesting fact about this song is that Chris Lowe provides the majority of vocals, something that is not common, ´cos Neil Tennant is the lead singer of the duo. I have uploaded three different versions, the original that was made in 1986, the 90s version and the current version, which is basically a cover. Now you can compare which one is the best. Personally, I prefer the 90s version, my favorite part is when Chris sings repeatedly Armani Armani Ar-Ar-Armani . . . .

100% of the whole world population prefer the rhythm of a song than its lyrics. This makes a lot of sense to me, everybody who is used to listen electronic music, is due to the four to the floor addictive beat. We don´t really care how stupid the lyrics of a song could be, ravers will always dance any silly song ´till they get tired of the basslines and the drum machines´ sound. Beautiful lyrics and love poems are now part of the past, the future generation of musicians should focus on the rhythm and in the production proccess of a song, hiring a songwriter is useless today.

Scottish DJ/producer Calvin Harris premieres his new music video "Bounce", which was filmed in Las Vegas. The video shows the story of a guy who seems to be addicted to dance, orgies and Calvin Harris´ music lol. Kelis makes a small role in the video, you´ll also notice her new haircut, which makes her look a bit different. I hope you like it!

Depeche Mode- Personal Jesus (The Stargate Remix)

 Music video by Depeche Mode "Personal Jesus (The Stargate Remix)" which is part of their new remix album entitled ´Remixes 2:81-11´. The album will include a total of 13 tracks, all of them reworked by famous producers & DJs such as Eric Prydz, Digitalism, Alex Metric, Vince Clarke among others. "Personal Jesus" was one of the first hits of Depeche Mode in the 80´s; the music video seems to be a representation of Jesus´ resurrection, but this one is very funny lol.

The Black Eyed Peas- Don't Stop The Party

Black Eyed Peas latest video for the third single "Don´t Stop The Party" was filmed in Brazil, and it looks awesome. I have never been in Brazil but after watching this video, it makes me wanna take some vacations over there. The international band got a great number of fans in Brazil, and that´s incredible for them!  I like the progressive beats and strings in the chorus, can´t wait to listen the remixes.

Do You Still Buy CDs?

 YES we still buy CDs, a total of eight votes that represent the (72%) are loyal to their favorite artists, and they support them by buying their albums in the old compact disc format. While a minority of three persons prefer the MP3 format instead of the CDs, I don´t understand why they dislike this technology,  but anyway they just represent the (27%) of all the visitors.

 Personally, I´m still buying CDs because I think it´s nice to start collecting things that represent the artists/DJs that one admires. Of course I continue buying MP3s but CDs have more to offer. Almost all the physical albums that we buy are in a case, and each case has a booklet, and inside this booklet we can find lyrics, production notes and interesting graphics that will be part of our memories. What I´m trying to say is that a CD is more special because it has more elements than a single digital file.

This music video is one of my favorites of 2011, I like everything about it! Wynter Gordon is a rising star in this world full of artists, and she´s just 23 years old. "Til Death" is the name of her new single, which sounds absolutely fabulous. I love the video, it was filmed in New York City´s GoldBar, and was directed by Miss Martinez.

Luciana- I´m Still Hot

  Luciana Caporasso has been known for her succesful collaborations, like the first one she did with Bodyrox in 2006, entitled "Yeah Yeah", and later in 2007 she worked on an incredible track called "Bigger Than Big" made by Super Mal. Since last year she has started to work as a solo artist, which is good, but I would prefer to see her again collaborating with new DJs and producers. Luciana´s new single is "I´m Still Hot", enjoy!

Electro WOW Celebrates 4 Years of Existence

 On a day like today in 2007, I started blogging about electronic music and its artists. At this moment of my life I can´t believe that I have been blogging all these 4 years. Things are different now, I have make a lot of changes in the content of this website and just a week ago the blog is now officially (www.electrowow.net). Blogging & DJing is my passion and I´m so happy to receive 400 - 500 visitors everyday. Finally I just wanna thanks all those artists and DJs who make music for us, we as humans use music to escape sometimes from the problems we are living daily, and electronic music is special because it was made to uplift our souls.
