A. Trebor - Static [Video]

"Static" is another mysterious Techno track by the French artist A. Trebor who has lately played at Berlin's club Berghain with big success. "Static" is a song that has the modern approach what the kick-bassline component is concerned but works very well on any dancefloor. Nevertheless, the music video is very stupid and non-static. Check it out below, and follow my advice: close your eyes and just enjoy the music!

Simian Mobile Disco - Snake Bile Wine [Video]

Music video Directed by Jack Featherstone. "Snake Bile Wine" is the 1st single in 2014 by Simian Mobile Disco. The Techno track was inspired by a strange beverage that the duo drank during their last trip to China and Vietnam. It is believed that this drink will improve male virility, amongst other benefits, lol.
I don't like too much the "minimal" style of the video below, however the song is good.

American TV Show Makes Fun of Kraftwerk

Is this supposed to be funny?
The Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson is geting more ratings, since he started making a segment with short parodies about Florian Schneider and Ralf Hütter who are the lead members of Kraftwerk, aka The Fathers of Electronic Music.
I'm not entirely sure if this is part of a larger segment or if there is more on the way, but probably some Kraftwerk fans will get angry and some others will just laugh about these parodies.
I have uploaded all parodies below, take a look at them out, and let us know if this is funny or not.

'Geektown Detroit' is a book project by German Graphic Design student Sandra Leidecker about early Detroit Techno.
For her diploma thesis at Bauhaus Universität Weimar she did interviews with DJs, producers and label owners from Detroit and all over the world to learn about the roots of Techno music.
She did illustrations of main characters, studio gear and places in Detroit.
There's plenty of good stuff here for techno peeps and anyone else interested in the creative energies that flow through the city.

What a shame!
Police finally arrested Justin Bieber, the most hated Pop star in the world, as he drove a bright yellow Lamborghini at up to 60mph in a 30mph speed limit zone while allegedly racing Def Jam rapper Khalil Sharief who was driving a Ferrari.
He also admitted to officers that he had been smoking marijuana 'all day', taking anti-depressants and drinking beer when he was stopped at 4am.
This is good news 'cos he will be in jail for 10 years and will stop singing lullabies for babies!

Tiga vs. Audion - Let's Go Dancing (Adam Beyer Remix)

Just when you thought this release couldn't get any bigger... Swedish Techno God Adam Beyer rolls in with a gigantic remix for Tiga's latest hit "Let's Go Dancing". This is the first thing he's done for the Canadian label Turbo since his Stockholm Mix Sessions CD back in 2002.
The energy swells and builds without ever breaking down completely, the train has left the station and it's not stopping for anyone, ever. Guaranteed massive... the only question is whether your party is big enough to contain this.
I'm so happy for this collaboration, because I am a BIG fan of these two guys!

Donata - Revolution [Video]

DONATA released a superb song consisting of a mix of dance beats together with strong rock-esque vocals. In my opinion she's a very original female artist who creates different stuff for the EDM community.

The release has been celebrated with a string of stage appearances, at which gigs Donata has performed with a live rock band. Below you can watch the official music video for “Revolution”.

Who is new upcoming artist Donata?

Donata, who was born in 1986 in Hungary to a middle-class Lithuanian family, got her first taste of real fame when she entered a nationally televised talent show for unknown Lithuanian artists. She made the finals. In 2008, she released her debut pop record, which was written and recorded in the Lithuanian language. Living now in Turkey, she has been working with the famous Turkish music producer Erkan Tatoglu to polish up “Revolution,” her debut to the English-speaking world.

House Music ► "Blowin My Mind" By L-Nize & Qwote Gets Remixed!

After the successful release of his debut single BLOWIN MY MIND feat. QWOTE which had radio airplay on Berlin´s leading radio station Kiss FM Berlin, Producer/DJ L-Nize now drops a remix that´s strictly catered to the dancefloor.
No one less than UK hit producer BELLATRAX gave the collaboration between L-Nize and vocalist Qwote (signed to Ultra Records) a completely new twist - more bass, more house, more sexy vibes!
A big grooving beat that slowly rises the tension becomes the foundation for Qwote's hypnotic vocals. The song has a sexy upbeat House-feel to it and is about the mind blowing girl, turning all the heads in the club.
The production was done in Germany whereas Qwote recorded his vocals in Miami; then the record was finally remixed by Bellatrax. A truly international production!
Already supported by Stonebridge, Miss Nine and Paul Oakenfold who played it in his world renowned radio show.

http://www.l-nize.com/L-Nize: “The original version of "Blowin My Mind" was my debut single. Naturally as an artist you shouldn't expect much from your debut single but I was positively surprised by the reaction of radio to it. Not only was the single played by Berlin´s leading radio station Kiss FM Berlin, even radio stations in the UK and Australia gave it a shot. Now Bellatrax made a fresh remix that´s strictly for the DJs and club goers.”

Universal Techno (1996) Documentary

The French-produced 1996 doc Universal Techno is an awesome hour-long piece which really takes its time with all of Techno’s main players. Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Jeff Mills, UR, and all the main players are well represented, but this film goes a step further, talking with folks like Autechre about how Detroit’s impact has spread overseas and throughout the world.

Universal Techno was directed by Dominique Deluze.

Phil Kieran - Computer Games [Video]

Inspired by the dawn of personal computing back in the 1980's when 8-bit video games first appeared in our homes on machines like the Atari, Spectrum ZX or even Phil Kieran's own first computer - the Commodore Vic20. 'Computer Games' tips a nod back with it's eerily addictive end-of-level hook and abstract stabs combining to create a piece further influenced by the likes of Kraftwerk and Yello. UK Techno Duo Spektre To Collaborate With Bjørk?

In a recent interview, UK Techno duo Spektre revealed that they would dream to remix Bjørk's music or to work with her in a project due to her fantastic vocal range.
Paul Maddox from Spektre said: "We really enjoy working on remixes of tracks outside of the Techno world, so something with an amazing vocal would be great fun. Bjørk maybe?".
