Todd Terry Presents 'Freestyle Forever‏'

Who is the greatest House DJ of the world? It's of course my friend Todd Terry. He has released a new material entitled 'Freestyle Forever' which contains classic breakbeats and vocal freestyle records of the late 1980's and 1990's updated and fresh for 2013.
Todd Terry has produced some of the most memorable freestyle classics of all time like Coro’s "Where Are You Tonight" and Giggles’ "Love Letter". Now he’s bringing new life to this genre with an all new album.
Todd wrote the tracks and assembled a collection of newcomers and veterens such as Shannon (Let The Music Play) and Tony Moran (member of Latin Rascals) to add the vocals to these tracks.
You need to open your ears to appreciate the tracks on 'Freestyle Forever', a magical album that will bring you back sweet memories!

I'm also loving the promo video for this amazing album, check it out below.

Cardiff Based DJ F-Block's Latest Breakbeat Electroswing EP, 'Wine or Grind'

"Sure to turn the dancefloor into a full on skank-athon."
Cardiff-based F-Block follows up his recent slew of success on labels such as Dirty Dubster and Tru Funk with another trio of instant party-rippers. "Back Up" starts off all deep and jazzed but gets wilder and wilder as the dynamic develops. "Turnitup!" takes a well-known Public Enemy vocal and plasters it over a sturdy, slo-mo swagger riddim with added p-funk nuances. Finally "Wine Or Grind" takes Prince Buster for a waltz in D&B town. Instant floor-skankage guaranteed.

Syria's Club Scene Still Active Despite The War

My great grandfather was born in Syria, he was a Christian Orthodox man who also enjoyed music and parties as myself. I have never been there, but I still believe that these people still have the right to love life and be happy.
The 30-month-old Syrian civil war is estimated to have killed around 100,000 so far, and around a dozen nightclubs remain open to revellers in Damascus, capital.
These days most people lock themselves fearfully in their homes, but a few still venture out, on a mission to drown out the thunder of artillery fire with the boom of Electronic Dance Music and Disco.
Check out below these exclusive images + a video of the best night clubs in Syria. Some of them stay open until 2am, but their managers can't reveal its names to the media for fear of reprisals.

Who Stole DJ Sneak USB Pen Drive?

Last Friday, House Music Gangster DJ Sneak wrote on his Facebook account:
"Some asshole stole one of my USBs tonight. I hope you learn something from it since you has the balls to grab it. I have it back up btw."

Since then, everybody wants to know who got it . . .
Here are the three main suspects:
a) Joris Voorn
b) Swedish House Mafia
c) David Guetta
Anyway, all I know is that karma will come back to kick whoever it is in the nuts.
Keep rocking DJ Sneak, here at Electro WOW we love the real meaning of HOUSE music!

The New Chick on the EDM Block Is Pretty Gritty

Jess E Wall 'Pretty Gritty' EP Review

All songs produced by Oba Frank Lords except the Danny G and Giuseppe D Remix.

Written by Michael M and Oba Frank Lords.

A & R - Michael M.

Executive Producer- Saul Alvarez.

Check out our track-by-track review:

1. Dominatrix Sleeps Tonite (Extended Mix)  Rework on the 80s classic. Can barely recognize it as she made it her own. A taste of Erotica with cojones.

2. Wanna Dance Tonite Written by Jess herself. This track got her signed. Who can resist her invitation to dance.

3. Did Ya Know Rocktronica at it's best. Written by Michael M and Oba Frank Lords. This track will have all the girls wondering " do they know".

4. Pretty Gritty She's got a roar just like a lion, but soft and cute just like a kitty. The lyrics pretty much embody who Jess E Wall is ferocious and girlie too.

5. Wanna Dance Tonite  (Danny G Klub Remix)  Danny G turns this already hot track into a scorcher. EDM lovers will love it.

6. Did Ya Know (Giuseppe D Remix) Unexpected mix by GD.

7. Dominatrix Sleeps Tonite (Oba in the 80s Mix) A fresh breakbeat mix with a 80s vibe.

Boy George Was A DJ Before He Became A Singer

Boy George has been DJing for 25 years and he has played a lot in America but not since what you call the 'EDM (electronic dance music) explosion,' George tells Billboard. "That happened in my absence. It will be really interesting coming back because obviously I don't play that stuff. What I play is really more rooted in the original House music that came from America back in the day."
Check out the video below, it's a brief history of DJ Boy George from 1979 to 2013.

Trumpet & Badman - Love Keeps Changing

Trumpet & Badman, UK mavericks DJ Haus and DJ Q are ready to conquer the world with "Love Keeps Changing" a jacking beat heavy on kicks and hi-hats, a series of chords played through House's ubiquitous organ patches, a bouncing bassline, a handful of vocal chops, and the occasional MIDI saxophone melody.
