Syria's Club Scene Still Active Despite The War

My great grandfather was born in Syria, he was a Christian Orthodox man who also enjoyed music and parties as myself. I have never been there, but I still believe that these people still have the right to love life and be happy.

The 30-month-old Syrian civil war is estimated to have killed around 100,000 so far, and around a dozen nightclubs remain open to revellers in Damascus, capital.

These days most people lock themselves fearfully in their homes, but a few still venture out, on a mission to drown out the thunder of artillery fire with the boom of Electronic Dance Music and Disco.

Check out below these exclusive images + a video of the best night clubs in Syria. Some of them stay open until 2am, but their managers can't reveal its names to the media for fear of reprisals.
