What´s The Worst Type Of Music?

Poll # 22 June 6th, 2011
The worst type of music in the world is Heavy Metal, a horrible music genre characterized by an amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness. Everybody hates Heavy Metal, there is no harmony and this should have never been called a music genre. A total of 10 persons think that Heavy Metal is not good for our ears  (52%). The next worst music genre is Country, and that´s because this type of music is very slow and so fucking boring. A total of 6 persons think Country music is not in fashion anymore (31%). Finally, we have to mention that Jazz, Reggae and Dubstep are also in this list, and they sound like shit too, well 3 persons think in that way (15%) and I totally agree with them.

Kelis- Flesh Tone [REVIEW]

There´s no doubt Kelis´ "Flesh Tone" was the best album of 2010, even though she didn´t get a Grammy for this excellent work. Last year we were all impressed with her new musical direction on this record because she has always been a Hip Hop artist for years.  "Flesh Tone" is a mixture of electronic sounds, believe it or not Kelis transformed her garage into a music studio, which later she named it Casa de Kelis.

Another great thing to mention about this album is that Kelis collaborated with top DJs and producers of the world (will.i.am, David Guetta, Benny Benassi, Tocadisco, Burns, Free School, DJ Ammo, Boys Noize, etc.) and she recorded all her songs while she was pregnant of her first child. Kelis created this album with love and she was motivated by her motherhood state, that´s why this album is so special. The only thing I didn´t like about the album were the number of tracks. "Flesh Tone" is really amazing and I encourage you to buy it, but 9 tracks aren´t enough to have fun.

Intro The first track is a short introduction to an Italo Disco sound, a song without an original name.

22nd Century A fantastic track produced by Boys Noize, its futuristic lyrics welcome you to the 22nd century, a brave new world where everybody´s dancin´ dancin´. I don´t understand why this wasn´t a promotional single, it´s definitely one of the best songs on the album.

4th of July (Fireworks) Kelis´ high energy vocals + the piano melody will make you go high!

Home Simply amazing! this song reminds me of the lesbian duo t.A.T.u.

Acapella A produced track by David Guetta, it became an instant worldwide hit, on this song Kelis sings very well like never before.

Scream Another track produced by Guetta, but this was my least favorite track on the album, because it sounds like a total mess. However it´s pretty danceable in some parts of the song.

Emancipate My favorite track of "Flesh Tone", it´s totally addictive and this will make you dance all night long. I also feel identified with the lyrics, because my goal in life is to achive my own emancipation. This tune was produced by Benny Benassi.

Brave You will love the ElectroTech sound of this song, the second track produced by Benassi, and the fourth promotional single of "Flesh Tone".

Song For The Baby A song influenced by House music of the early 2000´s, a lovely tune that talks about motherhood.

Gigi Barocco vs. Jane Bang- Crunk It

Jane Bang is a provocative rapper with strong sex appeal and no censor button. With some select teaser tracks available through Myspace and the hype machine, Jane has built an uncanny following over the Internet practically overnight. She made her first entrance with the song "Untame", which depicts her racy beats with playful, biting dialogue -- which was accompanied with the music video. Staying true to her Brooklyn roots with old school rhyming techniques, she infuses beats from European influenced Electro. Progressing from "Untame," Jane has finally released her first official single, with an entire album due to be released before years end. "Crunk It" features official remix covers by Dirty Disco Youth, Tom Deluxx and Symone. Jane embodies a femme take on edgy street style and is managed by 5 time Grammy winner Carlisle Young.

Static Revenger vs. Angger Dimas- Long Time (Takin´ My Time)

Static Revenger introduces his new label White House Music, joining forces with DJ Angger Dimas for a re-work of his classic 2002 white label vinyl release "Long Time (Takin' My Time)". Only 1,000 copies were pressed of the original version, immortalized on Fatboy Slim 's legendary Big Beach Boutique DVD in front of a crowd of 250,000 people, leading to years of mystique and demand for the highly sought after track. "Long Time (Takin' My Time)" maintains its romp and raunchiness with a new remix package that has received strong support from Armand Van Helden, David Guetta, Kissy Sell Out, among others.

What´s Your Favorite Drink?

Poll # 21 June 30th, 2011
This is so true! the youngest generation drink less alcohol today than in decades before. Most of you prefer to drink water because it is healthier than any other liquid (57%). Alcohol is a socially accepted drug, it causes a lot of car accidents and it makes you say stupid things as well lol. Party people today do not need alcohol to cheer themselves up, instead of drinking alcohol they just prefer to dance. Other alternative options that today replace alcohol are sodas and juices with (14%) of acceptance among the young audience.

Nicola Roberts- Beat Of My Drum

"Beat Of My Drum" is a brand new song produced by Diplo + Nicola Roberts´ first single of 2011. I would describe this new experimental sound as Dirty Dutch Pop music, which seems to be very popular these days. In the music video Roberts is seen busting some moves with a group of dancers in what looks to be some sort of jazzed-up community hall.

Sannie Charlotte Carlson a.k.a. Whigfield became a worlwide phenomenon thanks to her 1994  Eurodance hit "Saturday Night". The Danish singer has never stopped making music, a few years ago she was working with famous DJs and producers, under the name of Naan. She collaborated with Benny Benassi on various songs incluiding "Who´s Your Daddy", "Feel Alive" & "Rock N´ Rave".

The big news is that Whigfield is back with a fabulous Electro song, entitled "C´est Cool". There are some rumours that she´s also planning to release an album this year, which will have modern sounds, something that her grown up fans will love to listen!

Allure feat. Jes - Show Me The Way

Tiësto is using the alias of Allure to keep showing his old fans that he keeps producing songs with the original sound that made him famous. "Show Me The Way" is his latest release featuring Trance music diva Jes. The music video reminds me of  Rihanna´s "Only Girl (In The World)" videoclip.

Robyn- Call Your Girlfriend

Robyn expresses her passion for music in a very interesting dance routine. Freestyle dancing is what characterizes Robyn's authenticity. Her music video for "Call Your Girlfriend" is as innovative as her incredible songs. What else can we expect from this talented woman in the future? Video directed by Max Vitali.
