It appears 2014 is going to be a busy year for
Minister G! Lots of new projects are in the works for this Hip Hop artist; new songs and new ideas are on the way. The first new taste of his brand new single, “Rules Of Engagement,” from the "Church Fo' Da Thugz" album, is gaining in popularity.
The single strikes for its bare arrangement: just the essentials. A steady, organic drum groove with a 60's feel creates beautiful patterns with classy, minimal piano chords and electric organ sweeps and funky horns.
Minister G’s rap verses alternate some incredible catchy and soulful vocal hooks. This is pure old school Hip Hop, with lots of references to Motown and Funk, just like in the golden age of Hip Hop!
If this is the premise of what's to come, then brace yourself because we are in for a hell of a ride!
