Policemen In Carnival Dance-Off

A video of three policemen taking part in a dance-off has gone viral. The officers from the Metropolitan police were on patrol at the first night of the Notting Hill Carnival on last Sunday, when they treated revellers to the performance.

A crowd gathered round the officers, who took it in turns to individually demonstrate their dance moves before joining together to perform a row-the-boat action in unison.

At the time of writing, the clip has been viewed over 200,000 times since it was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday. Some users have questioned the professionalism of the policemen, though most have praised the officers for their good-spirits.

Superdrums Is Back on Electronical Reeds With First EP, 'Save Me'

The latest EP to derive from the Electronical Reeds camp comes courtesy of a man who's well versed in making the dancefloor move. Belgian producer Superdrums (who recently remixed Felix Cage's ''Magda & Magdalena'' for the imprint), takes sole control this time, with the 'Save Me' EP a thrilling insight into his eclectic and fun-fueled take on electronic music.

This instantly comes to light on the original track, latin flavoured track that wastes no time exploding into a whirlwind of colour thanks to its jungle-inspired vocals and its firm, hands-in-the-air, guitar led bassline. Shrewd stuff that's sure to ignite and dancefloor, regardless of their inclinations.

Gallic producer Max Duke's take on the track is an altogether different proposition entirely, as he melds it into a beast that's more interested in harmonious chords, cascading flutes and subtle vocal flourishes rather than ubiquitous percussion and samba-esque vibes. It's a more than worthy remix, and one that neatly conveys the label's desire to harbour an array of different sounds.

Lastly, it's back to Superdrums himself for the EP's closing gambit, ''Salted Stress''. Once again, catchiness is key, as is the litany of, well, drums, that force an impression. As the b-line intensifies, so too does the action, with the track barely pausing for breadth until its much longed-for drop finally struts its stuff around the half-way mark. This is clever work by, Superdrums and Max Duke - and another coup for the the Electronical Reeds camp.

Nightclub Music Branded 'Too Loud' For Pet Fish

Nightclub Music Branded 'Too Loud' For Pet Fish
A Swedish nightclub has been ordered to turn its music down because it is too loud for the venue's pet fish. After a routine check, the authorities found that the beats being produced were endangering the cichlids fish that live in the Gothenburg night spot's tank.

The relevant rules state that music cannot be played at over 65 decibels for extended periods of time when pet animals are in the vicinity. The music at the nightclub was recorded to be at 100 decibels, putting the fish at risk.

The Dagens Nyheter newspaper reports that the nightclub owner claims the measurements were not taken correctly. Despite this, the County Administrative Board is said to have made it clear that the club must get either new aquariums or quieter music.

Mark Morrison To Croon His Way Back With Electro-R&B Single

Mark Morrison released one of the world’s most celebrated dancefloor singles “Return of the Mack” that has been played everywhere for almost two decades.

The British artist looks set to be topping Urban AC radio airwaves once again with a new single, an electro-ballad titled, "N.A.N.G. 2.0" from his upcoming album I Am What I Am.

An artist that has one of the most unique voices has delivered another hit in the form of a jam that's slower and more sensual than “Return of the Mack”, a lightly synthesized heartbreak song that focuses on the singer's cousin’s abusive relationship. He croons effortlessly and intelligently over electro-R&B fused beats that pull you in from jump, and keep you vibing in a hypnosis state, with the perfect combination of feel-good soundscapes and uplifting lyricism courtesy of Crooked I, a rapper in Eminem’s Shady Records crew Slaughterhouse.

"N.A.N.G. 2.0" doesn't stray from what Mark’s fans will expect of him, but it does include a smoother sound that is sure to draw in new ones.

Crysand 'Supernova' Album Review

Crysand formed by Chris and Andy will release 'Supernova' on August 5 as their first concept album, following the global success of their breakout hit "Experiment". This special album will feature a cycle of 12 songs expressing a great explosion of sounds, such as, Dance, Techno, Industrial and Rock music. A very interesting album project in the world of electronic music not to be missed!

Find my album review below.

1. Supernova Enjoy the first seconds of cosmic sounds from outer space, and then the vocals give life to the song that shines as a Supernova!

2. The Experiment The breakout hit and first single from Crysand, features an aggresive electronica beat and Rock style vocals by Andrew Thomas. This song will be perfect for a hardbeat rave party!

3. Nobody Is Perfect Here's another song with a cool futuristic theme. I'm loving the part when the vocalist, Denisee Watts repeatedly sings "Nobody's Perfect" in a way that is positive and sexy.

4. Beside Your Lies This song is a crossover between Progressive House and Industrial music. When it reaches the climax you'll notice electronic music at the purest level.

5. Be Natural A very nice robotic song influenced by space rhythms and of course Industrial music, which is very typical in Crysand.

6. You Didn't Work Enough It is a tune for Rock music fans, I know they will love it! Lel Brothas' vocals are compatible with the concept of the album too.

7. Cosmic Sex One of the darkest songs on the whole album, I enjoyed it!

8. Not Your Candy Great tune with a sexy intro given by Denisse Watts. This is a combination of sweet melodies and hard electronica beats.

9. The Intruder This is one of my favorite songs, it asks the listener to DANCE! It's unique and once again very futuristic!

10. Reborn A special song! Chris from Crysand features his vocals for the very first time on his album, he is involved mostly with the instruments. I found some Dubstep elements on this track.

11. You No joking, this one is 100% Dubstep and sounds pretty good in my opinion!

12. Cyde Susy The last song of the 'Supernova' album could be described as "beautiful", I think it sounds different than the other songs. This will provide you a relaxed mood as well.

London Is Now Clubbing Before Breakfast!

In a room in east London at 6:30 a.m., 200 people are dancing to deep house club anthems, waving their arms about, whooping and cheering, and generally getting pretty excited.

It's a rave, yes, but not as you know them.

This is not an after-party. These people have not dragged their weary selves from a club to an underground bunker in which to continue their alcohol-soaked merriment. These people are stone-cold sober, have just woken up and are about to go to work.

Welcome to the world of early morning raving. Welcome to Morning Glory.

Remedy- Tyler Noel ft Secret Sam (Remix)

Secret Sam produced "Remedy" and Tyler Noel provides that Vocal acrobatics. It bears all the hallmarks of a great production style which is also why it’s so enjoyable to listen to. The song is a real grower, boasting a strong melody with a thumping rhythm and powerful vocal interpretation by Tyler Noel. After a few listens you’ll be hooked. It’s not bombastic and overblown, yet it’s energetic, frisky and frivolous with some sparkling backing vocals to match.

"Remedy", could easily be an instant club hit with its rapidly changing tempos and feel, the hypnotic beat and Tyler’s voice, which, dripping with pure emotion, will take your soul places that it’s never quite been.
