Linzi Stoppard Violin - Ignite The FUSE

Linzi Stoppard Violin - Ignite The FUSE IGNITE THE FUSE is simply a benchmark for violin acts. Created by the head of Harry Potter's special effects team, this video is as beautiful to look at as it is to listen to. The Fuse violin duo have always been known for pushing the boundaries, not happy to be another tired cross-over cliche Linzi Stoppard and Ben Lee are always looking for news sounds to reinvent their beloved instrument.

Famed for their rock anthems album released by edel/Universal, this track however is a slight departure, still with a catchy melodic topline but experimenting with the dance genre, specifically influences from dubstep.

A crisp edgy production sets Fuse apart from anything previously heard from a violin group but with Linzi and Ben's trademark arrangements, harmonies and utilising the full range of the violins versatility.

As a visual spectacle the video is stunning - Linzi looking as gorgeous as ever, Ben cooler than a penguin's icebox, we see magical fairy dust bouncing from the strings as FUSE pizzicato the intro of the track and then with a dubstep break whooshes and bangs all the particles fall to the ground. We are now into the track. It is punchy and driven, uptempo and keeps it pace throughout. The special effects equally compliment the feel of the track with half green screen Harry Potteresque aerial effects mixed with monochrome close-up shots of the band.

Violins are meant to be for Vivaldi but Fuse have torn up the rule book. Labelled as the most innovative string act for over a generation, Linzi and Ben have raised the bar yet again. FUSE contemporary ideas and step away from the norm are beyond reproach...this is the most talked-about and acclaimed string act in recent times.

Man Shoots Up Strip Club After DJ Refuses To Play His Song

Man Shoots Up Strip Club After DJ Refused To Play His Song
Police in Philadelphia are hoping that video of a man shooting up a strip club with an AK-47 assault rifle over a DJ’s song selection will lead to his arrest. Investigators on Wednesday said that 21-year-old Henry Pettigrew was being sought for the May 11th shooting at Purple Orchid Gentleman’s Club. Police said that bouncers at the club tried to remove him after he became angry because the DJ would not play his favorite song.
Check out the CCTV footage below aiding the search.

How to Choose Your DJ Name?

How to Choose Your DJ Name?
1. Try your own name
You may have a really cool name, or at least an OK one. I have an OK one (“Erick Antoine”) and I stuck with it, but you may be really lucky and have a great “real” name.

2. Try a variation on your name
Keep it personal, but alter something. Change your surname or first name. Use your middle name and last name instead of first and last. You get instant “ownership” over such a name, as it is similar to your real name, but you have the luxury of changing it to make it more cool/unique/memorable.

3. Use your nickname
The hard work’s been done here. Your school friends have tried and tested names for you, and one stuck. Obviously if you were called “spekky twat” or worse at school, then try to avoid this funny, but cruel nicknames.

4. Make sure it’s “radio friendly”
If someone can’t write down your name easily having been told it in person, over the phone, or on the radio, it’s not too good. You’ll get misspellings of it or just complete miscomprehension, when people see it written down and don’t connect with what they’ve heard verbally.

5. Be sure your name is not taken
UK DJ/production duo the Chemical Brothers were originally called The Dust Brothers. But when US band The Dust Brothers caught wind, legal flurrying led to “The Chemicals” (as they’re often called) changing their name. No need if they’d only have done a bit of research first. So do yours!

Marst, A Newcomer Of The French Techno Scene

I invite you to discover Marst, a newcomer of the French Techno scene, with his melodic electronic music, supported by Laurent Garnier and played by a lot of international Dj's!

Biography
« My aim is to be in osmose with the public, to make it listen to my music with its body and its soul, to make it see my music as well as hear it. If I manage to share my emotions that way, I'll feel I live one hundred per cent. »

Marst -106 Club, October 2009 Martial Thebault, known as Marst, was born on February 6th, 1988 at Blanc-Mesnil in the subburbs of Paris, France. From his early youth, all his main interests were related to music. At the age of 4, he joins a drums class. He will enjoy playing this instrument for years and will obtain a few diplomas at the Agostini school. Meanwhile he is self-taught in playing a few other instruments like the piano/keyboard, the guitar and the bass.

Enjoying verses and rhymes, the worlds of Gainsbourg, Pink Floyd or Chopin, Marst becomes as a teenager the leader of a French pop-rock band as a writer, composer and singerand wins a few contests. He also receives a money grant from the « Région Haute-Normandie » and takes up a challenge : to achieve the production of an EP on his own.

The use of computer music has always been present in his artistic evolution. Along acoustical instruments, he gets to own at a very young age an Atari, an old Karz wavestation, a sampler and an expander, ultimate presents from a musician older cousin. That is how Marst starts to explore the psychedelic world of the machines in the late nineties.

He tinkers about, discovers and plays sampling sounds and makes music arrangements for a very long time. The Cd-roms in magazines and the demonstration software leads him little by little to make his first synthetic tries.

In 2005, Marst breaks his money box to buy more professional material. His musical knowledge, influenced by rock but also electronic sounds from Detroit, Chicago, New York or Berlin, makes him discover Laurent Garnier who will soon become his real source of inspiration. Later on, he will focus on electronic music and the composition of tracks with powerful house and techno rhythms, always melodious, according to pure musical philosophy and respect of harmony.

Thanks to the purchase of his first turntables in 2006, he can see his acoustic projects take form electronically through mixing. His carreer then gets a start, he becomes a resident at the Shari Vari in Rouen, plays in most of the bars in this city where unfortunately there are not electronic music clubs anymore. He is spotted and plays in the first part of Vitalic's concert at the 106, a concert hall for contemporary music. The audience appreciates, other cities then open their doors : Paris, Poitiers, Caen...

June 2011 : he decides to set aside the DJ sets to get involved in production more seriously. Early July : he puts one of his composition on the internet Sun on the Moon, a title of powerful techno melody, supported by an overwhelming saxophone riff... And to his great surprise, there was an immediate positive reaction : more and more people listen and share on the social networks, many give their support : Madben, the Sonic Crew (Astropolis Festival), Agoria, Seth Troxler, Nuno Dos Santos, Ian O'Donovan... He gets invited to parties and festivals.

Then comes the second important event in his life : the side B , Waterlight, of his first maxi is put on the internet and this time he gets the full support of Laurent Garnier who plays his music in his weekly radio programme It is what it is (le Mouv' / Pure FM / Couleur 3) and who keeps playing it everywhere around the world, at nearly all his performances (Time Warp, Nuits Sonores, Berghain & Panorama Bar, Londres, New York...). He even comes to compare it with his famous Crispy Bacon, a real honor for Marst!

Sun on the Moon EP is released in March 2012 on Deep Movements, a new French label. From then on, Marst receives requests for productions and remixes...

He has since released and will release original tracks and remixes on the following labels: Timid Records, Aegyptia Recordings, A-Traction, Espai Music, Stripped Off ...

Patricia Krentcil has starred in a bizarre music video, and probably the worst of the year! The woman known as 'Tan Mom', due to her addiction of using tanning booths, has unveiled her first foray into the world of dance music.

In the video, Krentcil declares that she is "hotter" than other infamous mothers 'Octomom' (Nadya Suleman) and 'Teen Mom' (Farrah Abraham). The 44-year-old was arrested last year after it was revealed that she sneaked her young daughter into a tanning booth.

iTunes Update Improves Speed + Revamps Miniplayer

Apple has released an update to its iTunes music software. Version 11.0.3 is available to download now, and features a revamped MiniPlayer giving users a "beautiful new view that showcases your album artwork" and playlist information.

A progress bar has also been added to the MiniPlayer, allowing listeners to move to another part of a track without opening the full-screen version of iTunes. The update should also make the programme run faster, as well as showing multi-disc albums as a single collection of songs, and improving security.

The Soundtrack of Your Summer: The Electrical Fire - Bubble Moon Album Review

The Electrical Fire is an up-and-coming electronic-music act based out of Boston. Early this year they started to receive attention for their work on the soundtrack of "Ride Crazy: The Single Man March," a cycling documentary that brings attention to issues such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and global warming. The film received attention from The Boston Globe, hailing the soundtrack as "stark and artsy."

Hot on the heels of the film soundtrack, The Electrical Fire is back with "Bubble Moon" which was released on April 30, 2013. With 11 diverse and catchy songs, "Bubble Moon" is a rarity these days - a true "full-album" experience with recurring themes and lyrics. Perfect for summer, the music here invokes feelings of optimism and nostalgia. It's the type of album that makes you want to hit the road and just see where it takes you.

'Bubble Moon' Album Track-By-Track Review

1. Around The Moon A dreamy lullaby that is totally catchy, it serves as the intro song of this amazing new album!

2. Crazy Eyes The song features a prominent synthesizer beat throughout the duration of the song, with lyrics regarding to some crazy shining eyes.

3. Bubble Lights An optimistic anthem, I like how the artist encourages people to feel better with phrases such as "everything's gonna be alright" or "it's time to start again", and "this is your time to shine".

4. Call Me Summertime It has a rhythm that is suitable for dancing. Also, it features handclap effects and invites you to shake your booty.

5. (Everything) Just Right The vocals of the artist are easily recognized, on this track. I love the futuristic beats at the end of the song too.

6. Mockingbird Probably, Rock music fans of all ages will adore this track, which pays a tribute to this music genre.

7. Duck & Cover Dark song that employs the use of guitars and synths, all-in-one!

8. Radio Dead It narrates a sad story about the radio, we all know it's not so popular today as it used to be a long time ago.

9. Get Behind It! Repetitive and funky, I like it, because it's perfect for a club or bar!

10. Forever Under Stars Awesome intro, very oldschool and contemporary at the same time.

11. Like Icarus, To The Sun Excellent Space Age song, the vocals of the artist sound pretty good and it makes you feel like an astronaut discovering space.

Unheard David Guetta Deep House Track From The 90s

Unheard David Guetta Deep House Track From The 90s
Today I was surprised when I heard a 1994 Deep House track made by David Guetta. Yes! I'm not joking, we all know he is the worst DJ in the world, but it seems that he used to be "cool" when he was not so overrated two decades ago, LOL.

This song which I am talking about is called "Up & Away", it features Robert Owens on vocals, and it doesn't sound like the shitty Pop music that he makes today. Actually, I'm considering in using this masterpiece in my next Deep House mixtape. It sounds as good as Soul Clap.

Holy shit what the hell happened to you, David Guetta?

Michael M 'It's Just Me' EP Review

Michael M 'It's Just Me' EP Track-By-Track ReviewMichael M is back with 4 songs produced by Oba Frank Lords. Each one showcasing everything we love about Michael From the campy Guess Who's Back that finds him giving a social commentary about today's night life scene.

'It's Just Me' EP Track-By-Track Review

2. Star a mantra or M-izm filled dance rock track guaranteed to make your inner Gonna Be shine. I have the impression that this track encourages people to feel like a superstar!

 3. Skeletons deep dark personal dance track with industrial rock flavor featuring Jei's haunting vocals. I think it's an interesting collaboration, this track got dark dense tones, that clearly makes reference to its own title.

4. Butterfly finally Michael M like we've never heard him before wrapped up in mid tempo electronic goodness. The vocals of Michael M shine out in their full splendour. I maintain my belief, that he got so much talent, that allows him to jump into any music genre.

DDJ T1 Swan Flight Case Unboxing By Erick Antoine

Some week ago, I bought a case for my Pioneer DDJ T1 Midi Controller at Ebay. The manufacturing company is called Swan Flight, and the shipping service was pretty fast! That day I took my camera and I recorded this unboxing video. In conclusion, I think you must own a flight case, only if you're are planning to play at gigs or clubs. Otherwise, just buy a simple bag for your controller.

Thomas Schoenberger's Brokenhearted.com Gaining An Audience By Addressing Loneliness Of Cyberspace

Thomas SchoenbergerThis video caught our attention, since we all know who Lenny Williams is (Tower of Power) The composer, Thomas Schoenberger wrote the song as "an ode to all the insomniacs, walled off by the cyber distance of Facebook, the anonymous nature of our cyber world, a place of cyber hermits, broken hearts and fear". That's a pretty heavy concept and the song is a heavy duty ballad to the brokenhearted. Bravo to Schoenberger for writing a song for the modern cyber-lonely.

I think this ballad is headed for stardom. By the 350,000 plus views since it's release, it looks like the public is voting with their clicks. Produced by Grammy award winning producer Preston Glass.

One of my favorite Deep House DJs is Miguel Campbell, who is back with a new single entitled "Beams Of Lights". This summer anthem has an undeniable groove and sultry vocals which come together absolutely perfectly. The digital version of the song will be released on June 3rd, 2013 via Beatport, so we still have to wait for it! The pretty crazy video was recently uploaded, check it out below.

Celebrating 6 Years Of Electro WOW + Auto-Interview

Dear Electro WOW fans,

I'm feel so proud to announce that this music blog is now 6 years old! Without any fear, I can say that all these years have given me enough experience, to be called from now on a "music guru", LOL. Sharing with you cool music is more than a hobbie for me, it's my true passion, that allows me to inspire others by my creativity. This passion has grown so much on me, that today besides being a blogger, I'm also a DJ.

"On May 1st, 2007, I started blogging, and nobody will stop me doing what I love!"

Check out this Auto-Interview, below, that's me!
