Fashion Guide For Men ► American Company Invents Self-cleaning Shirts

A US company has launched what it claims to be a 'self-cleaning shirt'. Wool&Prince's new wool shirt can apparently be worn for 100 days without needing to be washed.

 

The company explained that the shirt rarely needs washing as the fabric is naturally resistant to odours. The fabric is also resistant to creasing, with the company claiming that the shirt will not crumple even if stuffed into a gym bag.

 

However, the firm advises that when the shirts do get washed, this is done by dry-cleaning or gentle washing only. The wool used for the shirts can apparently be bent back on itself 20,000 times without breaking, as opposed to cotton, which will bend just 3,200 times.

 

Wool is more efficient at absorbing sweat, meaning that it doesn't lie on the surface of the shirt allowing bacteria to develop, a process which results in odour.

Talented electronic music duo Dirty Inc. have launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign  to fund their first studio album.

 

Jay and Jon aka Dirty Inc. are truly talented artists who have worked 15 years producing electronic music in different styles:  Electro, Drum n Bass, Dubstep and Glitch Hop. They have also DJ'd out in places such as the UK, France, Slovenia, Greece and have had support from DJs around the world such as the USA, South Africa and the Netherlands.

Listening To New Music Is Healthy For The Brain

Using MRI scans, a Canadian team of scientists found that areas in the reward centre of the brain became active when people heard new music for the first time. The more the listener enjoyed what they were hearing, the stronger the connections were in the region of the brain called the nucleus accumbens.

 

The researchers found that listening to new music is as good as sex. They also noticed that the nucleus accumbens was interacting with another region of the brain called the auditory cortical stores. This is an area that stores sound information based on music that people have been exposed to before.
 

The researchers now want to find out how this drives our music tastes, and whether our brain activity can explain why people are drawn to different styles of music.

Henieken has shown off its latest advance in beer, a 'light up' bottle.

In a YouTube video for the unveiling, the Dutch beer manufacturer shows just how clubs could look in a few years' time.

 

The Ignite bottle does more than hold beer, it reacts to being sipped from and being toasted with by lighting up. It is also possible to synchronise the music in a club with the bottles, making them flash to the beat. The base of the bottle has eight colourful LEDs, with a tiny processor, motion detector and wireless transceiver. WOW!

Kraak & Smaak Perform "The Future Is Yours" At TOPPOP3

Kraak & Smaak have teamed up with vocalist Ben Westbeech to deliver a Deep House track entitled "The Future Is Yours". The song which is considered by many other blogs as an anthem, is catching the attention of music fans from all over the world. Just a week ago, these guys perfomed this excellent tune in a TV studio, it seems that in the Netherlands, they have a TV show similar to TOTP but they've named it TOPPOP3. I wonder, where are these talented Deep House music acts that play nice music on live TV? Well, maybe now it's time for them to shine in live television.

 

Mark Broom - Silenced Part 2

Mark Broom is a British Techno producer and DJ. During the Second Summer of Love in 1989 Broom was travelling to Tenerife, where he first heard music genres like Chicago House and Acid House. At his return to the UK he bought his first turntables and started his musical career. Today he has a long successful career, many others would envy. His latest EP called Silenced Part 1-4 Remastered is pretty amazing, however my favorite track is # 2, enjoy it!

Panteros666 - Hyper Reality [Video]

Video was directed by Panteros666, the same artist who is also the producer of the track "Hyper Reality". Last month, I featured this new lovely track on this blog  because I think it's super cool and danceable. Regardless of how this tune sounds, Panteros666 has shown a lot of creativity in the most complete sense of the word! The music video is propably the hottest of 2013, check it out below and get your own conclusions. I'm very happy with the results.
 

Carl Cox Delivers The Final Phase Of His Space Ibiza Lineup

2013 marks Carl Cox’s 12th consecutive season of his Space Ibiza residency. Continuing the Revolution formula, Cox will present 12 Nights of the Revolution – The Party Unites every Tuesday night from July until September at the Ibiza institution. No stranger to curating unbelievable line-ups, Coxy has collected a scorching bunch of DJs and producers to mark his twelfth year on the White Isle. Eight of the twelve weeks have already been announced and today, he’s delivered the final four to complete the line-up.

 

Legends of Techno Laurent Garnier and Gilles Peterson will storm the stage as will Space Ibiza returnees Deetron and Master of Work. There’s plenty of exciting debuts also with Steve Rachmad and Eats Everything. Not to mention sets of cool Brodinski and Gesaffelstein, the names on the bill for the final four weeks make a European summer in Ibiza seriously fun!

Trevor Simpson and The Cataracs "Dagger"

Trevor Simpson is the resident DJ at Ruby Skye, San Francisco's marquee EDM club and has remix credits to the likes of M.I.A., Dev, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Derulo, and Lady Gaga.

The Cataracs are a multi-platinum group responsible for #1 Billboard Pop song "Like A G6" and David Guetta "Sweat" featuring Snoop Dogg.

"Dagger" is the first single from Trevor Simpson's debut EP and will be out on World Town Recordings worldwide on May 14th.

On Friday, the brand new single from Tiga & Jori Hulkkonen premiered on Annie Mac Radio 1 Show. Well, since yesterday I swear I can't stop dancing to this wonderful Techno tune of "Trust Your Body". The best of all are its lyrics "I can't trust my mind, I can't trust my mind, trust your body, your body never lies" LOL. Can't wait to watch a music video for this new release, this is probably one of the best songs of 2013.
