The Soundtrack of Your Summer: The Electrical Fire - Bubble Moon Album Review

The Electrical Fire is an up-and-coming electronic-music act based out of Boston. Early this year they started to receive attention for their work on the soundtrack of "Ride Crazy: The Single Man March," a cycling documentary that brings attention to issues such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and global warming. The film received attention from The Boston Globe, hailing the soundtrack as "stark and artsy."

Hot on the heels of the film soundtrack, The Electrical Fire is back with "Bubble Moon" which was released on April 30, 2013. With 11 diverse and catchy songs, "Bubble Moon" is a rarity these days - a true "full-album" experience with recurring themes and lyrics. Perfect for summer, the music here invokes feelings of optimism and nostalgia. It's the type of album that makes you want to hit the road and just see where it takes you.

'Bubble Moon' Album Track-By-Track Review

1. Around The Moon A dreamy lullaby that is totally catchy, it serves as the intro song of this amazing new album!

2. Crazy Eyes The song features a prominent synthesizer beat throughout the duration of the song, with lyrics regarding to some crazy shining eyes.

3. Bubble Lights An optimistic anthem, I like how the artist encourages people to feel better with phrases such as "everything's gonna be alright" or "it's time to start again", and "this is your time to shine".

4. Call Me Summertime It has a rhythm that is suitable for dancing. Also, it features handclap effects and invites you to shake your booty.

5. (Everything) Just Right The vocals of the artist are easily recognized, on this track. I love the futuristic beats at the end of the song too.

6. Mockingbird Probably, Rock music fans of all ages will adore this track, which pays a tribute to this music genre.

7. Duck & Cover Dark song that employs the use of guitars and synths, all-in-one!

8. Radio Dead It narrates a sad story about the radio, we all know it's not so popular today as it used to be a long time ago.

9. Get Behind It! Repetitive and funky, I like it, because it's perfect for a club or bar!

10. Forever Under Stars Awesome intro, very oldschool and contemporary at the same time.

11. Like Icarus, To The Sun Excellent Space Age song, the vocals of the artist sound pretty good and it makes you feel like an astronaut discovering space.
