A Perfect Mashup! Stardust vs. Madonna "Dance & Sing (White Label Mix)"

80s Madonna's vocals + Stardust (a.k.a. Daft Punk) =  "Dance & Sing (White Label Mix)". You'll love to move your body like a freak, with this spectacular Funky House mashup! This version was produced in 2004, but I believe it's timeless. The original name of the instrumental track is called "Music Sounds Better With You".

So, what is a mashup?
A mashup is a song or composition created by blending two or more pre-recorded songs, usually by overlaying the vocal track of one song seamlessly over the instrumental track of another.

Health Benefits Of Roller Skating

Roller skating is ranked among the best aerobic exercises according to the American Heart Association and the President’s Council on Physical Fitness. Roller skating is a workout that involves almost all of the body’s muscles and in particular the heart. The National Institute for Fitness and Sports claims that roller skating works most of the major muscle groups (glutes, quads, abdomen, calves and arms) The American Heart Association proclaims that roller skating is equivalent to bicycling and jogging as a cardio workout.

It’s not a lot of fun to exercise by yourself, which is the case with most forms of exercise. Roller skating is a sport where you can find yourself in a group of literally hundreds of people doing the same thing. They are not at the skating rink for exercise; they are there for the fun, music, lights and socializing. When starting to roller skate, remember to first relax, bend your knees and find your dominant leg and push off with it.

Health Benefits
  • Low-impact exercise for joints
  • High caloric burn
  • Aerobically as good as jogging or cycling
  • Involves all the major muscle groups
  • Mentally uplifting
  • Fun, hip and possibly glamorous

Simon Cowell's Brand New Talent Show For DJs

According to some rumours Khloe Kardashian will host the show, and the panel will include Steve Aoki, Paul Oakenfold and Jamie Jones. Apparently House legend Frankie Knuckles is also on board as a mentor. The X Factor creator is set to launch a new show with the intent of finding the next great DJ. Cowell, who's been developing this show for over a year, calls DJs the "new rock stars," and says the show will capture the trendy rise of the DJ phenomenon.

In my own personal opinion, I don't believe you have to go to a talent show in order to become a DJ. Everybody can learn the basic skills and mix songs together, Perhaps, this show should focus on the search of music producers instead of DJs.

A 73-year-old Polish grandmother is refusing to let retirement get in the way of her love of DJing. Reuters reports Wika Szmyt, a.k.a. DJ Wika, spends three days a week mixing Disco, Rumba and Samba tracks for a mostly elderly audience at a club in Warsaw. The former youth counselor says she feels as though she is giving those out on the dance floor a new lease on life.  DJ Wika taught herself how to use sound mixing gear and says she has earned the respect of several more experienced and younger DJs.

DJ Wika
"Dancing changes their mood for the better, more fun. They don't think about passing, about preparing a gravestone and planting flowers on it. They think about life, and that's what music gives you. That's what music gives you!"

File Sharing Becomes A Religion In Sweden

Sweden has formally recognized file sharing as an official religion. The Missionary Church of Kopimism was founded by file sharing purists who say it is holy to freely exchange information on the web. Computer commands such as Ctrl+C - Ctrl+V are considered sacred symbols, and its membership has reached 3,000 since it was founded in early 2010.

The followers of the religion are called Kopimists from copy me. According to the church, communication and computer skills among its followers is important, and there is also no belief in gods or supernatural phenomena in their religious system.  The Church, based in Sweden, has been officially recognized on January 5, 2012 by the Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency.

Isak Gerson, founder of the Missionary Church of Kopimism ↓
"The basic idea is that the information and the copying is kind of holding its own rights and are sacred to us. So we believe that the copying and sharing of information shouldn't be illegal but it should be encouraged."

Unboxing Behringer DDM 4000

Finally, I've achieved one of my dreams, that's right I got my first DJ mixer. Since two years ago, I've been making my mixes on my computer, but last year I decided to get more serious with this hobbie. At first, I was thinking in getting a Pioneer mixer, but to be honest with you, those products are stupidly expensive. So I did a research, and I discovered a good brand that makes audio products, and it's called Behringer.

The Behringer DDM 4000 is a professional club mixer, that can be compared with the Pioner DJM 800. It's the most affordable mixer in the market, and its audio quality has been described by a lot of DJs as extremely good! See the video below, that's me unboxing this explendid machine. I will upload more videos soon, on my Youtube channel, please become a subscriber, thanks.  http://www.youtube.com/user/ElectroWOWofficial

Top 10 Music Predictions For 2012

2012 is a very interesting year for the music industry, it seems that people is now more open to listen new music genres and styles. First of all I'm not Nostradamus, anyway, let's ask the crystal ball about the future of music just for fun!

1) It's a sure thing that Electro & Progressive House music is now more mainstream, but unfortunately people is going to get tired of it very soon. Dubstep is going to invade the Pop market, but after a year kids will get bored of it too.

2) House music will never die, sampling and a lot of hi-hat cymbals will be used by many producers this year.

3) Deep House DJs & artists will get more attention in underground & hipster clubs.

3) At the end of 2012 Daft Punk hopefully will release a new track and album.

4) Low sales during summer festivals due to the economic crisis & mainstream DJs.

5) Little Boots, Roisin Murphy & Scissor Sisters will return to the music business.

6)  WTF Paris Hilton will be wrongly named by the media as "The Queen of House Music"

7) Behringer & Gemini DJ products will gain more popularity in the club market.

8) The film industry will work with renowned electronic music producers.

9) A lot of DJs will be touring Asian clubs this year. China is the next Ibiza.

10) Finally, get ready aliens will invade Earth this year, so run for your life!

WTF Kanye West Makes His DJ Debut

Let's start 2012 with some apocalyptic news, Hip Hop rapper Kanye West debuted last night as a DJ in Las Vegas. He chose the ridiculous DJ name of Yeezy World Peace, and he's planning to become the next David Guetta of commercial dance music lol. We can't judge how good or bad were his DJ skills, but according to some reports he played rap music on turntables instead of digital CDJs.

I believe Kanye West's new DJ career isn't going to be receiving any kind of support from the established DJs of the electronic music industry. We won´t forget his disrespectful attitude with Partizan's Jeremie Rozan & Ed Banger's So Me at the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards; and worst of all is that the entire world knows he got an ego problem.
