Simon Cowell's planned DJ talent show has been cancelled due to a squabble over top billing with Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's company.
The show, which was first proposed in January, was a joint venture between Cowell's production company Syco, The Smith's company Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television. But true to form, the X Factor boss and general Scrooge of the music industry, Cowell was keen to make sure his name got top billing.
The Smiths were not so keen to take second billing leading to something of a squabble which ended with the lawyers being called in.
