Is Trance Music Dead?

Poll #31 August 8th, 2011
Good news! Trance is not considered as a dead music genre according to the (66%) of music fans who visit this website. To be honest with you, I actually thought Trance was out of fashion in our days, but that´s because I am not used to listen this type of music. However, I have to recognize that I was a huge fan of Trance a long time ago, where melodies and lyrics where more important than a catchy bassline.

Trance is a genre of electronic music which became a world sensation during the early 2000s. The most famous DJs & acts of this genre were Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Dash Berlin, Lasgo, Sylver, Milk Inc, etc. It is characterized by a tempo between 125 and 150 bpm, repeating melodic synthesizer phrases, and a musical form that builds up and breaks down throughout a track.
This music genre is still alive in some underground parties and clubs.
