Afrojack Entered The DJ Mag Top 100 at #19

DJ/producer Afrojack has entered the DJ Mag Top 100. During a spectacular party, where he played a set for a sold-out Ministry of Sound in London, it was revealed that Afrojack enters the chart at a stunning #19 position. This makes him the second highest new entry in this years DJ Mag Top 100.

Last year has been a year full of great achievements for Afrojack. His releases hit the top of the charts and were highly praised by guys like David Guetta and Steve Angello. He also delivered many smashing remixes like Lady Gaga "Alejandro" and Madonna "Revolver". Gig-wise, he rocked the world's biggest floors including Pacha Ibiza, Creamfields (UK), Ultra Music Festival (Miami) and Electric Daisy Carnival in Los Angeles. Now, nearly at the end of 2010, the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ election seems to be the icing on the cake for Afrojack's successful year.

A massive achievement and a real honour, but this doesn't mean Afrojack will lay back to enjoy this result. Instead he will try to use the upcoming year to improve his current position. For a start, the video of Afrojack's current dance floor killer "Take Over Control" featuring Eva Simons has just been released this week. The track has already received massive attention from radio stations around the globe, particularly in Benelux, the UK and the USA; after being a top 5 hit on Beatport. Afrojack's upcoming productions, not only his solo work, but also alongside great talents like Bobby Burns, or with superstars like David Guetta and The Black Eyed Peas, promise a great future for Afrojack!

Daft Punk`s Short Music Video "Derezzed"

"Derezzed" will be part of the soundtrack, and the best part of this story is that Daft Punk will have a role in the movie. The Most Scary Film About DJing

It`s All Gone Pete Tong

  This scary film is about a DJ who goes completely deaf. It is based on the true story of popular Czech DJ Kristov Masalin who lost his hearing due to excessive noise levels at various venues at which he played. However, Kristov's career did not end with his total loss of hearing and used various methods to keep his music career alive. It`s not a horror film, but you wouldn´t like to experience the loss of one of your five senses, right? In fact, this film could serve as warning for all those DJs who don`t protect their ears while DJing.    

The film was released on April 15, 2005. It won two awards at the US Comedy Arts Festival for Best Feature and Best Actor (Paul Kaye) and swept the Gen Art Film Festival awards. It was filmed  in Ibiza and shot entirely in HD.

Everybody loves this Remix of Robbie Rivera`s "Rock The Disco", but there is one problem, the video SUCKS. A horrible animated video about aliens in a toy factory, doesn`t make sense to me. Too bad it won´t be remade.

Here we have another crappy animated video that looks like if it was made in the 90s. Awful 3D graphics and a low budget won´t make this single a succesful hit in the music charts.

Cascada- Pyromania

Don`t you think the male dancers look stupid wearing a big astronaut helmet? YES, they totally look like a bunch of idiots. Besides that the song is boring and it sounds like Lady Gaga`s early material. I believe Natalie Horler a.k.a. Cascada needs to reinvent herself soon, otherwise she will ruined her music career.

Grum- Through The Night

I would describe this video as stupidly funny. A love story about two male detectives is something ridiculous! There`s no action in this video, just a silly drama.

Sidney Samson- Shake That Thing (Riverside)

There`s no doubt that Sidney Samson is one of the best DJs of the moment, but this song doesn´t represent his Dirty House music at all. The whole concept of the video is poor and uninteresting.
