In the last decade, I was a big fan of a music genre called Happy Hardcore. That`s right, I used to like the fast tempo songs, characterized by piano riffs and sentimental lyrics. Notable Hardcore artists that I used to listen in the past were: Basshunter, Cascada, Groove Coverage, Lazard, N-Force, Scooter, Stunt, and Ultrabeat. Most of the Hardcore songs were produced in Germany, and in the UK. Although according to the history, Happy Hardcore originated in the Netherlands during the early 90s. Home computers and software such as Fruity Loops Studio, Ableton Live, Cubase, Logic, Nuendo and Reason were used to make the bouncy tunes.Today Happy Hardcore music is dead, nobody would like to dance a Hardcore song in this new decade, that could be ridiculous! Electro and House music are the most prominent music styles that people dance in our days. Happy Hardcore was the dominant genre that attracted a big audience of ravers, I will never forget the cover versions of popular songs, almost always music critics used to say that a Happy Hardcore version ruined the original lol. Those ravey days were phenomenal, I miss the strong beat.
