Tecktonik / History /

There are no rules to dance Electro House music, but if you wanna look like the John Travolta of the new millenium, then you may try some Tecktonik moves on the dancefloor. Tecktonik is an Electro dance, which originated in the suburbs of Paris, France during the mid-2000s. The creator of Tecktonik was Alexandre Barouzdin, believe it or not he was a serious investment banker. In 2001 Barouzdin and his friend Cyril Blanc started a project/party event called (Tecktonik Killer Nights), at one of the biggest clubs in France, The Metropolis. Five or six years later, everybody was talking about this new frenetic dance, and now it´s part of Electro House music culture.

In this dance style, there are a lot arm movements and the feet rotate from side to side in time with the beat, let´s say it´s like a mixture of breakdance, techno and rave. People who dance Tecktonik drink a lot of energy drinks, because they´ll make some strong movements with their bodies (80% arms and 20% legs). I have uploaded two music videos, so that you can see Tecktonik dancers doing their best moves :-)
